According to an article in the Daily Telegraph, Moustachioed horse evades barbers, there's a 10-year old Shire cross in the UK named Alfie that has grown a moustache that rivals some of the most famous in history.

Last week I read a post at Enlightened Horsemanship Through Touch that really struck home, Routine Tasks with no Inherent Meaning Diminish the Spirit of the Horse.

Now that the temperatures are dropping, the debate over whether you should or should not blanket your horses in the winter is in full force. Some people start blanketing their horses when the temperatures drop into the 40s at night; others find their horses do fine even when faced with single-digit temperatures.

While most of us are still struggling with keeping the lines straight, there are some real body clipping artists out there. Not to mention people who are really handy with a stiff brush, a comb and some water!

A long, luxurious tail looks great in the show ring, but it can be difficult to obtain, hence the proliferation of "tail extensions" that now can be purchased. Certainly, they offer a convenient shortcut for those who don't have the time to grow a tail out.

I love this look! I've never had a horse that a long mane but it almost makes me want to grow Freedom's so I can try it. How do you think it would look in the hunt field?
